Event: Ironman 70.3 Peru
★★★★★
Ironman 70.3 Lima, Peru was an awesome experience, made even more special by getting to know Marcos and connecting with ...fellow athletes before the event. The official event hotel recommended Marcos to me after I arrived. I needed help arranging for a bike mechanic to come to the hotel the next morning to assemble my bike. The service was unbelievable, with excellent communication throughout — and it only got better. Marcos offered a course reconnaissance session with five other athletes, which was fantastic after seeing those enormous waves and fearing the unknown. Joining them was one of the best decisions I made. They were wonderful, like-minded people. And that was just the beginning... Marcos sent a driver to take me to the race start, met me there, walked me down to the beach, supported us out on the course, and connected with me immediately after the race to bring me back. He even carried my bike up multiple flights of stairs to the street! He listened to my story, arranged another driver to take me to the airport, and before I left, we shared some photos together in the hotel lobby. I had won my age group in what was a very tough race and qualified for a slot at the World Championships in Nice on September 12th, which I accepted. So, all in all, it was a wonderful ending to an already wonderful Peru experience. I would highly recommend Marcos, his bike mechanic, Neco, his drivers, and his outstanding organizational and communication skills, just to mention a few. On top of all that, he has a great personality
